45m Superyacht ‘Big Fish’
Tranzcarr handled the Haulout logistics from the build shed to launching ramp for the 45M Big Fish at McMullen & Wing Auckland.
The launch followed an exciting and dramatic two-day move for their largest vessel to date from the yard’s voluminous construction shed into the waters of the Tamaki River. The move went slowly and seamlessly as shipyard workers and families watched the massive yacht being moved from the shed with only centimeters to spare on each side.
Following sea trials the vessel will commence an historic circumnavigation, which will take her to Antarctica, the Amazon and then to the fabled Northeast Passage over the top of Russia. She anticipates being the first luxury yacht to complete the Northeast Passage, and to be the first vessel in history to complete a Polar Circumnavigation, entering both Arctic and Antarctic Circles, crossing all lines of meridian and passing or rounding all five major capes. |

BHP New Zealand Steel Ltd
Complete relocation of Taharoa Ironsands Processing plant.
Transport included:
- Concentrator Barge - 26m L x 21.5m W x 17.5m H, 1000T
- Surge Bin - 23m L x 21.2m W x 13.0m H, 450T
- Dredge - 32m L x 12.0m W x 13.0m H, 250T
Contract included complete dismantle and reassembly, construction
of road for transport, bridge to cross culvert dam, and
suitable dry docks for loading and unloading three (3)
main units.
